Patterson Law Firm Welcomes Back Alexander I. Passo as Member
CHICAGO, IL.— Patterson Law Firm is pleased to announce that Alexander I. Passo has rejoined the firm as a Member, marking a homecoming for the litigator who began his legal career at Patterson Law Firm in July 2013. Passo rejoins the firm in a senior leadership capacity, reflecting his valuable expertise and the firm’s commitment to leveraging its talents.
Passo concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, representing clients in internal business disputes, breach of contract claims, fraud, emergency business litigation, unfair competition, professional liability matters, shareholder and member disputes, temporary restraining orders, and injunctions. He has served as lead counsel on a broad array of disputes and has secured significant results for his clients, including but not limited: jury, bench, and arbitration verdicts as the Plaintiff (with fee-shifting); obtaining summary judgment rulings for Plaintiff’s for seven-figure sums; numerous multi-million dollar settlements in cases involving unpaid service fees, squeeze-outs, professional malpractice, and foreclosures; and also successfully defending cases and obtaining dismissals, summary judgments, and trial verdicts at trial on behalf of clients accused of oppression, fraud, and breach of contract.
Since departing Patterson Law Firm, Passo served as Partner and Co-Chair of the Litigation Group at Latimer LeVay Fyock LLC in Chicago, where he handled matters throughout Illinois and Indiana. He earned his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, in 2014, and was admitted to the practice of law that same year. He is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Indiana.
Passo is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, where he has served as Director of the Young Lawyers Section since 2018 and has served in numerous Director and Officer capacities.
His professional achievements have been recognized across the legal community. He was named a “40 Under 40” Illinois Attorney to Watch by Law Bulletin Media 40 Under Forty 2025. He has been named to Super Lawyers’ list of “Rising Stars” and “Super Lawyer” and to Leading Lawyers Magazine’s list of “Emerging Attorneys” for numerous consecutive years.
